GCIE is a vehicle architecture exchange platform intended to facilitate the exchange of CAD nominal dimensions, 3D wireframe data as well as surface data for most OEM’s production vehicles.
The exchange is for the purposes of vehicle architecture analysis. It's important to note that this includes OEM occupant positions and ground lines. Read more
Passenger Vehicles Group:
The default for all members to join and everyone in GCIE exchanges the 3D Section data and 2D Drawing data as defined in the GCIE Handbooks.
Surfaces Sub-Group:
Any member of the Passenger Vehicles Group may elect (or not as the case may be) to join the Surfaces Sub-Group and exchange .stl files of the vehicle exterior and interior visible surfaces of the vehicle, ONLY between Sub-Group members.
Utility Cargo Vehicles Sub-Group:
Any Member Company of the GCIE which also produces Utility Cargo Vehicles (UCV) alongside their PV business may also elect to distribute 3D Section Data and 2D Drawing data for their UCV Products; UCV data is only exchanged between members of the UCV Sub-Group.
